Thanks to cooperation between Musicum at Uppsala University and the Musicological institution at Harvard University, there will be several performances of music by Dag Wirén. Leading the project are Mr Stefan Karpe at Musicum and the pianist and musicologist Paul Bempéchat. The project will start at the end of October in Uppsala with rehearsals and concerts led by Paul Bempéchat.
At the beginning of November 2018, the musicians will fly to the USA where they will be performing at North Park University, the Swedenborg Chapel, the Memorial Church at Harvard and the Scandinavian Cultural Center in Boston. The compositions by Wirén which will be performed are Sonatina for Cello and Piano opus 1 and Sonatina for Violin and Piano. The Dag Wirén Foundation has decided to support the parts of the project containing music by Dag Wirén.
